Oxon Region 'hosted' but Swindon Region Won Out !
The tour started from the NT Car Park below the Uffington White Horse. It was set to be 20 people in a dozen cars but, in the end, it was 23 people in 11 cars with the majority being from Swindon. Entirely fair seeing as it was their back yard !
Before the 'off' the collective set of Jaguars made for a fine display, with both the NSPCC / Childline Rally Plates and Oxon Region 'On Tour' Tags proudly on display.
Many cars shot off when the Oxon Region Chairman, navigating for the Treasurer, could not start the 'strava' route finder !
Typically there's no convoy and people end up aplit up, but this time we did keep finding each other enabling some good photos of Jaguars and the bevy of JEC Members, Partners and Friends....

The Routing Was Excellent, A Great 75 Miles Around Wiltshire
Naturaqlly, the local gang thought they knew the best routes to actually take, but we seemed to see them coming to the same horses after us, as often as not.
But there again, the Oxon Gang (and not least the route planner himself) did manage to get lost / go wrong a few times and do some of the steps equally out of order ....
Amazingly enough, we did all manage to find the pub for lunch and get tables. The beer was good and the food excellent for both taste and price ....

Yes But What About The Horses !?!
Well, first and froremost, we were siomewhat suspicious that at one stopping point, our route planner had even arranged for some ACTUAL white horses to be present !
Next it became clear that we could 'tick off' all 7 chalk white horses but one could only actually get to see 5. Some you could get very close and some were further way but all were interesting and all somewhat different to each other.

And The Cars ??
Well, if you are going to do a Drive-It-Day there's an argument to say that it would be hard to better being in a Jaguar (and especially if you are being driven around !).
The variety present was excellent - XKs, E-Types, XF, XJ, F-Pace, S-Type. For the 1st time in quite some time no Mk2s, 240s or XJ-Ss but you cant have everything always.....
There were no problems, lots of tops down, air cons running and visors opened.
A bit cool to start and a bit misty taking the edge of the views but a great day was had by all for sure.
So here's to the next joint meeting - perhaps Vetrans@Heritage at Bicester Heritage on 6th August.
