The3 A34 & A303 Were In a Good Mood !
Aiming for a 10:30 meet up at the Museum, most journeys down were undertaken in largely dry conditions with great views. The logic of a tunnel 'underneath' Stomehenge seemed obvious even with no hold ups. The stones did look small in the distance.
On arrival we spotted an Oxfordshire registered XF RS, but not owned by one of us....
The return trips were largely uneventdul and it is always nice to seeing Jaguars' MPGs steadily rising.
Certainly a Cracking Display
Members could be fogiven for not having made the connection with Haynes Manuals or that the display was not just cars acquired to be taken apart for those.
The 'Red' hall was incredible where there was a lovely dart.
You know thingfs are going well when Members spend about 10 minutes on each car. Were they measuring their wheel nuts again ??
The eclectic collection was most impressive.
The Jaguars Display was Impressive Too, Even If No XJS(s)
The collection of Jaguars certainly drew the Members' attention, aided by a bit of a photo session.
It was amusing to see that the Mk V11 had a windscreen JEC wings visible too.
Every Member had their favourites, sometimes with the agreement of the others....
A Most Worthwhile Visit, With So Much To See
This was a return trip for many and one could see why !
The cars, the bikes, the signage, the tooling, race cars, clothing etc. etc. just seemed to go on and on ...
But The Jaguars stood out even allowing for our jaundiced eyes.
