JEC Oxfordshire Region Attended The Inaugural 'Coffee & Cars' in Newbury on Saturday 8th March

This was the first running of a new event for the JEC. As very local to our Region we attended in strength to help the series start off with a bang. Our contingent of 17 Members proudly flew our Region Flag and displayed our 'On Tour' tags. One Member's TWR XJS was in the display and lovely it - and all the others - were.

A VERY well Attended First Event

Members will be aware that there was some initial confusion about whether the event was a 'just turn up affair' or ticketed. Once that was resolved, our Region agreed to meet at the Newbury Sainsbury's at 08:15.but by b07:50 it was already clear that the parking areas were filling fast. The numbers attending must have exceeded 200 in total across the day.

So off we went and ended up with our cars here, there and everywhere. Those cars included multiple XKs, numerous XJSs, an XF, an F-Pace and a good number of E-Types. There was lots of auto-eye candy but the Oxon Region cars certainly attracted their own share of attention.

An Interesting Venue, Made Special With Talks, Interviews, Refreshments and the Tour of TWR

Inevitasbly, there was quite the queue for the Podium Place Coffee Bar, but there was lots to see whilst waiting for your drinks ans snacks to emerge.

Many useful contacts were made & renewed and a good number of 'deals' done.

The weather undoubtedly helped make the day even better. And all the cars certainly looked like they had had their 'end of winter' refreshes done to maximise the amount of shining metal and chrome.

Those who went on the 'TWR Super Cat' Tours clearly had a good time on top of ewverything else.

Well worth attending and here's to the equivalent event in 2026....
