JEC Oxfordshire Attended The Bloxham Steam & Country Fair - Sunday 30th June

This very popular event, suited to all the family, is often attended by a number of our Region Members. This year e attended as a Region with some 14 Members, Family and Friends in a wide variety of Jaguars. These ranged from a Mark 2 to an F-Pace.

Besides the Steam Engines there was a Market, Wildlife displays, Fairground, loads of Classic Cars, Wild West Show, an Extreme Bikes Battle and lots more.

The event was sufficiently popular that there's calls for it to be in our 2025 programme too.

The good weather enabled us to put on a good showing

Saturday had been very hot but the slightly cooler Sunday was more suited to being in a field all day !

The ful,l complement of Jaguars were: an XJR, 2 x F-Pace, a Mk 2, an F-Type, an XJ, 2 x XKs. We slipped a Mazda Mx5 into the mix on the quiet too !

Despite not being a 100% showing of classics, our Members got to parade their cars alongside all the others, much to their amusement and bemusement of the commentator !

But we weren't there only to show our cars

Our Members made full use of the event, enjoying all the various offerings.

But stars of the show (after all it's in the event title) were the steam traction engines. Their exquisite paintwork and gleaming fittings were a real sight to behold.

And for those that are more into their commercial vehicles, they too had feasts for their eyes.

So now we can just look forward to the Chearsley Classic Cars Meet onm Sunday 8th September, where we hope to be joined by Members and their cars from Bucks & Herts and Berks-Thames Valley Regions.
