JEC Oxon - Open Night & Most Loved Jaguars Competition (+ Possible BBQ) - Rising Sun nr. Henley - Tuesday 12th August 2025

At the height of the summer, it seems a shame to be inside. Better to be outside enjoying our Jaguars (& Daimler, George L !).

We’ve used this deep-in-the-country pub a couple of times before and enjoying the pub garden has been a delight each time. By coming here we also hope to entice out some of the JEC Members in Henley, Abingdon, Didcot etc.

Members can eat by all means as usual but, as a part of the evening, we will hold the 2^nd Year of our ‘Most Loved Jaguars’ Competition. Note that is NOT a Concours Competition in the slightest !

There are now glassware trophies for the most loved pre- and post-1985 cars. Nothing technical, simply judged by popular acclaim by Members and their Partners etc. and others at the pub. So, we are allowing those partners some sanctioned ‘getting even time’…

So shine up those Jaguars and try to better Vaughan Machin’s lovely Mk2 that won at the recent Jaguar Paddock Night in Blewbury.

We are hoping to arrange with the Rising Sun that they put on a BBQ for us, although this is yet to be confirmed. This will be FREE to all Subscribers and others will be just £5.
