JEC Oxfordshire Region's Tour of RAF Upper Heyford - Sunday 13th April

This is one of the largest ex-RAF Air Force Stations, most recently used and occupied by the US Air Forces before the station was decommissioned and turned over to car storage. Famed for its runways that were once the 2nd longest in Europe, jet fighters, cruise missile silos and more, it is also something of a microcosm of US life and environment.

As we are car-based, we will be permitted to drive ourselves around the base etc. in our own cars with a tour guide alongside each group of 20 persons. The cost is £25 per person, though the Region may discount this slightly from 2025-26 Subscriptions.

After the visit, some Region Members are likely to find a pub in Bicester for drinks and lunch.
