The FIA Formula E World Championship heads to Monaco this weekend for one of the biggest events of the season — and Jaguar arrives right in the thick of the title fight. After a superb recent run that has seen Jaguar TCS Racing win four of the last six races, Mitch Evans sits second in the Drivers’ Championship, just three points from the lead as the season reaches a crucial stage.
Monaco has become a particularly strong venue for Jaguar. Evans has scored four consecutive podiums on the streets of Monte Carlo, including victory last season as part of Jaguar’s historic Monaco 1-2 finish — one of the defining moments in the team’s Formula E story so far.
Speaking ahead of the weekend, Evans said:
“I always look forward to racing in Monaco and off the back of our recent strong form and my win in Berlin, it is great to come into this weekend with some positive momentum. It is effectively my home race and, having won in Monaco previously and been on the podium on multiple occasions, I can’t wait to race around such an iconic track once again.”
The New Zealander arrives in Monaco fresh from his latest Berlin victory, which extended his Formula E record to sixteen career wins. Jaguar TCS Racing also heads into the double-header sitting second in both the Teams’ and Manufacturers’ standings, underlining the consistency and pace now being shown by the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 package.
For Jaguar enthusiasts, Formula E continues to represent far more than simply a race programme. The championship remains Jaguar’s global showcase for EV technology, performance engineering and modern motorsport identity, with Monaco providing the perfect backdrop. On one of the world’s most famous street circuits, the combination of cutting-edge electric performance and Jaguar racing heritage feels especially fitting.
With the championship battle tightening, Monaco could prove one of the pivotal weekends of the season — and Jaguar fans have every reason to believe the Big Cat can leave the Principality still firmly in the hunt for world championship glory.
UK viewers can follow Jaguar’s Monaco Formula E challenge live this weekend on ITV and ITVX. Race coverage from Monaco will be shown free-to-air on ITVX, with highlights and delayed coverage also airing on ITV4. Qualifying and additional sessions are available via TNT Sports and Discovery+.
