In Glyn's owns words he tells us about his XK8 known as 'Poet'

Hello fellow members and friends, this is my 1997 XK8 coupe in Carnival red.

Reg no spells Poet so that's how I often refer to it.

Poet left Brown's Lane on 18^th April 1997 and was delivered to Hatfields Sheffield dealership.

Sold to first owner on 30^th April 1997.

I am the sixth owner and bought the car in May 2014.

Poet has had three different private reg. numbers over the years, spending time in Warrington and Chester prior to Snailbeach with me.

I bought Poet from an independent dealer at Hawarden, near the aircraft factory.

There is no rear screen mounted stop light on the car which confirms early production run as this feature became standard in October 1997 I believe.

Factory fitted options included 18 inch fluted spoke wheels, upgraded sound system and adaptive damping suspension.

Work done in my ownership has included new rear sill sections on both sides, rear wheel arch repairs, new headlining, apart from the usual routine stuff.

Poet is a bit of a garage queen in the winter but hey, spring is here (isn't it?) so will get more outings from now on.
