Scottish Jaguar Day, Scotland’s premier Jaguar event, run by Fife and Tayside JEC, was a fantastic day enjoyed by one and all at Doune, by Stirling on Sunday 1st July 2018.

The weekend started off on Saturday with fifteen cars taking part in a tour around the Trossachs with a visit to Lock Katrine and a sail of the “WalterScott” steam ship and concluding with High Tea at the Café Circa in Doune.

Sunday was a fabulous day with wall to wall sunshine and ONE HUNDRED and FIFTY Jaguar and Daimler cars gleaming brightly. All classes were represented with XK’s, Mark 1’s, 2’s and 9’s, sixteen E Types (mainly red in colour), XJ’s of all models, various XK8’s, modern XK’s right up to the latest F-Types and F Paces. A record number of pedestrians came to enjoy the spectacle.

Throughout the day we were entertained by the Allen Jazz Quintet. There was keen interest in the raffle run by CHAS (Childrens Hospice Association of Scotland) for the ‘Jaguar F-Type for the weekend’ which was kindly donated by Pentland Jaguar.

The Prize winners were:

Best 1950’s & Best in Show – Robert Caldow, Best 1960’s – George Ross, Best 1970’s – Thomas Taylor, Best 1980’s - Jim Pettigrew, Best 1990’s – Alister Scott, Best 2000’s – Russell Watson, Best 2010’s – Stewart Dodd, Ladies’ Choice - Colin Ross, Furthest Travelled: Darren McWhirter – 160 miles,

Through everyone’s generosity, Fife and Tayside JEC raised £1400 for our two charities, CHAS and Motor Neurones Disease Scotland.

We would like to thank both Mike Horlor and Patch Jobson for their assistance in speedily resolving a last minute problem despite being extremely busy with their Wroxhall preparations.

We would also like to thank our sponsors for their support which helped to make this event such a success.
