Saturday December 2nd, 2023, Christmas Dinner at Kippie Lodge
Grampian Region’s Christmas dinner was held at Kippie Lodge on the 2nd of December and was well attended, with 20 members / partners in attendance. It could have been better attended, but we had several call-offs at the last minute due to deep snow – yes in early December, who would have thought – and illness. Everyone found the Festive Menu as good as always and many enjoyed their first turkey dinner of the season. As always, the staff were brilliant and looked after us all really well. We will be sticking with Kippie as our home base going forward.
Next on our agenda and by the time you are reading this, we will have held our planning meeting to reset our calendar for 2024 and since we have sent out a short questionnaire to our members and received some very good feedback / ideas, watch your inbox for the email laying out what we hope to achieve in the coming months. We asked if folks would like to have more mid-week / lunchtime meetings and the response was very positive for both elements, so the Committee has tried to take that into account when drawing up our new plans.
As well as shifting the timing and scheduling around, we hope there will be more visits to also encourage folks to come along and participate, but of course that does mean that you will need to pay attention to the email updates and not rely on a set time and place to catch up with your fellow enthusiasts.
Have a great festive season and hope to see everyone in the New Year.
