Deal Classic Car Show

a brief overview of Deal Classic Car Show on 28th May 2022

At the end of May, a small group from Kent South enjoyed a wonderful day at The Deal Classic Car Show in Betteshanger Country Park. Those who used the M2 rather than the M20, chose well - as a lorry driver told the BBC, it took seven and a half hours to get from Maidstone to Dover - queuing in’ Operation Brock’, with the half term get-away!!

It was lovely to welcome one of our new members – Stephen, Tina and their extended family, including delightful, three month old baby Grandson, Albert. We also caught-up with more JECKS members on another club stand; some not seen since before Covid.

The weather was particularly kind, in spite of the chilly wind across our stand - resulting in many red, sunburnt faces!

We were impressed by the number of really lovely cars and also surprised at how many people visited our stand, so far along the drive way. Tony’s D-type replica was a significant attraction, with some delighted punters achieving a rare photo opportunity, by sitting in the beast!

The selection of stalls and eateries were of a high standard – especially our bacon rolls on arrival and afternoon ice creams. Michael decided to stay-on to enjoy the music into the early evening; so, all-in-all a good day out and a credit to Chris West.

Our monthly Club Nights continue on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm, in Singleton Barn near Ashford, where you will be assured of a very warm welcome.
