Presentation "85 Not Out" by Gordon Fry, owner of West End Garage, Bruton

There really is an astonishing range of vehicles being worked on at the garage: from 19th Century Mayoral ceremonial horse-drawn carriages to British army vehicles straight off the boat from Afghanistan. Fascinating, as always, to hear Gordon talk about his extraordinary business and his amazing collection. The restoration and upkeep of classic cars is a specialism. Not only does Gordon and his team love classic cars, they are passionate about projects of all shapes and sizes from personalised AA Boxes, to sculptures, to large commercial vehicles. The diversity of West End Garage knows no bounds and as well as the commercial side of the business, Gordon and his "Duffers" have the best playground for all their interesting historic vehicles and projects in the "Toy shed".

There is just too much content to report here and do it justice but below is a selection of the vehicles and projects that were discussed. JEC Somerset look forward to visiting West End Garage for a first hand look around once Covid restrictions are lifted.
