October News from Beds Region
Since our last report the Region didn’t attend any events, however, many members carried on using and displaying their cars.
On 2nd November, we returned to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon with the Jagu ar Breakfast Club. Several members met up and enjoyed the new displays, including scale models of the Le Mans race cars suspended from the ceiling.
Members also supported local events at Pitstone Museum and the 308th Bombardment Museum Thurleigh, which had dedicated motoring areas for their last events this year.
Plans for future regional events are developing. The 3-night trip to the North York Moors in early May 2025 is proceeding; details are on the website. Most of the allocated rooms are already taken, so if you are interested, please contact us as soon as possible.
Various conversations have taken place regarding local visits and speakers at our meetings. These include two members’ 120+ year ownership experience of both Jaguar and Aston Martin, a member’s history of building his Jaguar powered Ronart and a presentation from the Chairman of the South Midlands British Motorsports Marshalls Club.
Once dates are confirmed for these events, they will be added to our Diary, which is emailed monthly to all regional members.
And finally, the last major event for 2024 is our Christmas Dinner on the 12th of December.
