North East Region – March Report

Our New Year meal on 10th February had to be rearranged at very short notice due to problems with the original venue. Great efforts by our chair, Peter Johnson, secured a private room at the Toby Carvery in Ponteland for the same date. I am pleased to report that everyone had a good time at the new venue.

This has led on to a permanent change to our venue for the regular meetings – from now on we will be at The Ravensworth Arms, Greenford Lane, Lamesley, NE11 0ER, which is a little south-west of the Team Valley Trading Estate. Meeting time is 8pm as before. If you want to come be mindful that some sat-nav systems take you to a couple of miles away.

Our last meeting at the end of February was held at this venue, and everyone agreed that the location was a success. Many thanks again to Peter Johnson for organising.

Planning is well underway for our main events of the year, i.e. Drive It Day, Durham Regatta and the Durham City Car Show.

If you’re based in the North East, why not come along to our next (or indeed any) meeting and there you’ll get a detailed, first-hand account of what is planned for club events in 2024. You will be guaranteed a warm welcome and it’s a great chance to make new friends with a common interest in our favourite cars.
