North East Region – April 2024 Report

The permanent change to our venue for the regular monthly meetings is proving to be very popular – at last we have our own quiet, private room and the buffet provided is excellent. Hopefully we can be resident here for some time to come. For those that don’t know, the new location is The Ravensworth Arms, Greenford Lane, Lamesley, NE11 0ER, which is a little south-west of the Team Valley Trading Estate. Meeting time is 8pm as before. If you want to come be mindful that some sat-nav systems take you to a couple of miles away.

By the time you read this we will have had our trip out for Drive It Day. And a final reminder to anyone to let me know if you wish to attend our annual event at Durham Regatta.

A word here should go to Mark Owers, who has undertaken the much-needed overhaul of our regional presence on the JEC website. Take a look at this the next time you are visiting the JEC home page – or even make a special effort to visit our section. It’s well worth a look at the new material and more will be added as time goes by.

If you’re based in the North East, why not come along to our next (or indeed any) meeting and there you will be guaranteed a warm welcome. It’s a great chance to make new friends with a common interest in our favourite cars.
