Monthly Monday Meeting
Monday 2nd August will be at The Sun Inn, Hulverstone, PO30 4EH.
The Sun Inn is a stunning 16th century thatched free house pub on the south west coast. This pub has a good reputation for real ales and superb home cooked food from locally sourced foods.

30th July – 1st August Silverstone Classics
This is a weekend full of fun and excitement with a large display with exciting on and off racetrack entertainment, as well as music, this is an event for all the family.
How about a visit to the Interactive Museum: The Silverstone Interactive Museum is a thrilling 2.5 hour journey through the past, present and future of British motor sport. Climb into a racing car, learn to be a commentator and have a go at building a racing bike while incredible stories from the sport and its history come to life around you, in a restored WW2 RAF Hangar
Isle of Wight REGIONAL DAY
Plans are well underway for our Regional Day on Sunday 15th August.

Prize giving at 3 o'clock, Show closes at 4pm.
Entry per show car £5 (includes up to 4 adults)

Aviation Museum
We are asking for club members to come along and help with the setting up on Saturday 14th August. We will be providing refreshments in the form of bacon baps, hot dogs with veggie options, served up with tea or coffee, as a thank you for your time and effort. So please, please put this date in your diary, we are going to need lots of help. Thank you.
Glynis Milliner is organising a book stall for our show so please save your unwanted books. We will also have a tombola stall, so we will be grateful for any suitable prizes. You can pass on any books to Glynis, myself, or a committee member at any of our future meetings.

This is a favourite event on the historic motor racing calendar. The atmosphere in Angouleme is electric as vintage, classic and race cars arrive into the city for the weekend’s festivities. The action commences on Friday evening as participants and spectator’s alike ascend the Remparts for the Concours d’Elegance. Expect to see French rarities cross the flood lit stage, with their owners clothed in period dress. The basic package is £499.00 per person and includes:
- Return crossings with Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Caen
- Large 2 berth window cabins in each direction on overnight ferries
- 3 nights at Hotel Ibis Styles, Angouleme Nord on a B&B basis
Some members are planning to set off earlier than 17th and enjoying some time in France before the event, then travelling to Laon for the 30th Anniversary Classic Car Event the following weekend. Tesla Car Battery Problems
If you have fully topped up the charge of your Tesla Car battery, you need to charge your Tesla Car battery. Explanation is on the video.
Driving Licence Expiry Date
It may be a good idea to check the licence expiry date, 4b on you driving licence and the date under your photo. Due to COVID restrictions DVLA have been unable to send out reminders to people telling them they need to up-date their driving licence. This could mean that you are driving without a current licence.
