News from Staffordshire North Region
There was a great turnout of members for the December club night. Members and partners had a superb time at our annual Dinner Dance held in our meeting venue, Moorville Hall hotel at Cellarhead. In aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance appeal we had our usual “bumper” raffle, with about 100 prizes all donated by region members and friends, this, along with other donations, raised a total of £520 for the Air Ambulance appeal. Thanks to everyone who helped with this event, raffle ticket sellers/folders etc. and especially Vice Chairman Brian Pye for doing a sterling job on the organization front and Carol Ingram for the table flower arrangements. In February we hold our regional Annual General Meeting, starting at 8.00pm on Wednesday 15th February at the club night, the agenda will be available before the meeting by email, if you need an agenda by post or would like to bring up a topic for discussion please let me know at least two weeks prior to the meeting. We will also present the trophy to the “Member of the Year winner 2022” at the same meeting, plus there may be some other awards on the night! On February 22nd we will attend a talk about Prostate cancer followed by the usual buffet at the Medical Institute in Hartshill.
