News from Staffordshire North Region
Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas and New Year, I am sure those who are attending our New Year dinner/dance will enjoy themselves with a super meal again at Moorville Hall hotel. Thanks to everyone who helps make the event a success and especially to Vice Chairman, Brian Pye, for making all the arrangements. Our February club night meeting will be the region Annual General Meeting, We will be reviewing the last twelve months and looking for ideas to help the region move forward, if you would like to raise a topic please let me know by the end of January. At the AGM we will also announce the winner of our Member of the Year award, this is the person who collects the most points which are awarded for attendance at meetings and shows, arrives in a Jaguar/Daimler, wearing Jaguar regalia at club nights etc. Plans are currently being made for the 2023 car show season and there will be plenty of events, some old and some new. Thanks go to Carol Ingram and Dave Page for fitting them all in and arranging them all. Our ladies have had some success with their own calendar, a “ladies only” meal out and Kathi Cheetham won a prize in a David Manners Group competition. Also in February we have a meeting at the North Staffs Medical Institute in Hartshill on Wednesday 22nd, including the usual buffet afterwards – the topic is “Prostate Cancer” Contact Brian Pye to book a place.
