News from Staffordshire North Region

Our first meeting at the Red House in Caverswall on the third Wednesday in May was a great success, we have exclusive use of the Function room, the car park is ideal with loads of space, and I am told the food (which must be ordered before 6:30) is superb. There was a great turnout of old and new members along with a good variety of Jaguar/Daimlers. The raffle was interesting with a special “booby prize” – this time won by Ed Walker- you need to be there to find out what it is about! May was our first “Car of the Month” competition for 2025, many fine examples of Jaguar/Daimlers and models of all ages were on the car park to choose from, the winning car, a nice example of a 1995 4Ltr XJS belonging to Dave Lewis won. There are more opportunities to win these club night events up to September (weather permitting). Our region Classic car show will probably be held here so watch this space, the Facebook page and keep in touch. Some events we have attended so far have been Swadlincote Festival of Transport, Smallwood Vintage Rally, Capesthorne Hall, Blythe Vintage show and Gawsworth Hall (plus others) - all great shows. Events coming up in July are the Alrewas show, Nantwich Steam Day, Leek and District show followed by August shows at Betley, Kings Bromley, Avro Heritage Museum for the Northern Jaguar show plus many others. Please join us at clubnights to find out more details.
