News from Staffordshire North region

Car shows and events are still going strongly for our region with busy weekends for lots of members, helped mostly by the sunny weather – Eccleshall, Apedale, Capesthorne Ipstones country fair, Lupin farm and Tatton and also the Isle of Man. August saw birthdays for three members – Colleen Whitehouse, Brian Pye and Dave Gambling, hopefully both had brilliant days. Also, there were Golden wedding anniversary celebrations for Kathi and Phil Cheetham in August. If you would like your car to feature in our region calendar for next year, please send me one (or at the most two) pictures, these need to be good quality (at least 1Mb) with a small amount of space around the car(s) to allow for “cropping” and if possible square or landscape orientation. Your photo needs to be submitted by the end of October so if there are more than 12, we can vote on which to use at the November club night. Our Car of the month competition in August was won by Dave Lewis’s XK8, in fact the first three place vehicles all belonged to a Dave! If it is light enough in September, we will have our last “Car of the month” competition for this year. Come and join us on the third Wednesday of every month at Moorville Hall hotel for an 8:00pm start.
