News from Staffordshire North Region
There was a great turnout of members for the December club night, (I always expect it to be quiet). Members and partners had a superb time at the annual Dinner Dance held in our meeting venue, Moorville Hall hotel at Cellarhead. In aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance appeal we had our usual “bumper” raffle, with around 75 prizes all donated by region members and friends, this, along with other donations, raised a total of £400 for the Midlands Air Ambulance appeal. Thanks to everyone who helped with this event, raffle ticket sellers/folders etc. especially Vice Chairman Brian Pye for doing a sterling job on the organization front and Carol Ingram for the table flower arrangements which were won by one lucky recipient on each of the tables. On Wednesday 21st February at our region club night we hold the regional Annual General Meeting starting at 8.00pm, we will also present a trophy to the “Member of the Year winner 2023” at the same meeting, plus there may be some other awards on the night and even a quiz! The show/events list is building up nicely now, so time to get your car(s) polished, please join us on club nights for details of what is on and when, lots of exciting things are happening this year, which is the 40th anniversary of the club, I think we are one of the longest established regions and have existed for about 37 years.
