News from Staffordshire North Region
Our region monthly raffle in May raised £62 towards region funds, thanks to members for supplying the prizes and Sue Lewis for selling the tickets. The many events our region takes part in are going well (assisted by the sunny weather), one of these in May was our first “Car of the Month” competition held at Moorville Hall Hotel in Cellarhead, there were many fine examples of Jaguar/Daimlers and models of all ages on the car park to choose from, the winning car belonged to Stan Crutchley, it was a very nice Jaguar XJ6 Series 2 Daimler Coupe. There are several more opportunities to win these club night events up to September (weather permitting). Our region Classic car show (entry is free) will be held at Moorville Hall hotel (with other car clubs joining us), it will be on Sunday 23rd July 2023 from 10:00am to 3:00pm and it will be well worth joining us, there will be prizes, including the “Presidents Trophy” for the overall winner and a best visitor award. Other events we have attended so far were Swadlincote Festival of Transport, Smallwood Vintage Rally, Capesthorne Hall, Stafford County show, Gawsworth Hall and Tatton (plus others) - all great shows. Other events coming up are - The Cheese show at Stafford, Capesthorne Hall, Lichfield Cars in the Park, Northwest regions day (on Sunday 3rd September more information to follow).
