News from Staffordshire North Region

Car show events are ramping up now for the region. We just need some good weather at weekends to help with the turnout. In April at the Weston Park show (we were joined by Cheshire region on Sunday) we won the “Best club stand” award. Club nights are continuing to attract new members to the region with an attendance of 39 members in April where we were joined by our region’s ambassador Keith Hurlock. The monthly raffle raised £72 towards club funds – thanks to everyone who donated prizes and Sue Lewis for selling the tickets. In May we held our first “Car of the Month” competition where members vote for the Jaguar/Daimler on Moorville Hall hotel car park they think is the best one. The winning car can only win once in the year so there are usually 5 chances to win the award, I will report which car and owner won in the next magazine. We will also have our annual region car awards this year for the Presidents trophy and other awards, the date and venue for this event is not yet decided but it will be on a Sunday, so watch this space! When the good weather and sunshine arrive remember to take a good photo of your car, it may be suitable for the calendar next year.
