News from Staffordshire North Region

Still getting lots of region club members for our monthly meetings, and usually a couple of “new to the region” ones as well. The “Car of the month” competition winner in July was a lovely MK9 belonging to Dave Woodward. Towards the end of July, we had our very own Car show at Moorville Hall hotel with a turnout of some 25 or so cars, winners of the prizes were: Stan Crutchley – “Car of the show and Presidents Trophy”, in First place was Dave Lewis, Second place Brian Pye, Third place Dave Hammersley and the Best visitor award went to Malcolm Wentworth. It was a bit of a soggy day but that didn’t dampen the spirits! There was also a competition for the “Best dressed lady” which was won by Sue Lewis. Well done to everyone who took part in the competitions and helped make it a great success. Many other events were attended some of them were – Audlem, Nantwich, Capesthorne, Ashover, Alrewas, plus others – phew! And the show season is a long way off finishing yet. Come and join us at Moorville Hall on the third Wednesday of the month – see if you can spot the Plaque we presented them at the July meeting.
