News from Staffordshire North Region
We have held club meetings for twelve months now “face to face” at Moorville Hall and also had our own Car show (of which I will report in next month’s region report). With the car shows in full swing now is a good time to take a photograph of your car for the region calendar, these must be good quality, preferably square with a smallish amount of space around the car or your car gets cropped in the calendar process. You can submit photo’s early so I can try them. If you don’t have a computer I can scan your picture which needs to be larger than a standard camera ‘snap’, (best size would be 8ins x 10ins). As usual if there are more than 12 pictures submitted we will choose the selection in October or November. If you need to see a sample photo ask Mike on club night. This month (June) has seen us at Markeaton, Lichfield Cars in the Park, Nantwich Cheese show, Statfold, Kelsall Vintage rally and the Royal Cheshire show plus others. During our June meeting, at which we had a record (for a club night) 49 members we congratulated Sue and Dave Lewis on the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary, the winning car in the “Car of the month” competition was an immaculate MKII belonging to Mel Smith with Ed Walkers E type second and Kathi Cheetham’s Series 3 XJ third. We welcomed new members to the region Peter Talbot and Ann Roberts.
