News from North Staffordshire Region

Another well attended meeting in September at the Bleeding Wolf in Scholar Green with no less than 10 raffle prizes donated by members. Well done to the prize winners and thanks to Hazel Sutton for selling tickets. This has been another record year regarding number of shows attended – some old and some new. Most recent shows were Apedale, Northwich, Eccleshall, Warwick, and Himley Hall (where we were awarded ‘best club display’ runner-up trophy).

Our chosen member for the ‘Spirit of the Club’ trophy awarded in November at the Annual General meeting in Castle Bromwich is Carol Ingram, who finished in the top few from all the regions last year. If you would like to join our annual Christmas Dinner/Dance at the North Stafford Hotel in Stoke – directly opposite the rail station, taking place on Saturday 9^th January 2016 7:30 for 8:00pm. Further details will appear on the regions website (if you do not have computer access come to the club or give me a ring), you need to apply to Brian Pye as soon as possible.

At the Dinner/dance we have a raffle, the proceeds of which are donated to the Air Ambulance appeal so bring any gifts ready wrapped. We will have a regional calendar for 2016 costing around £10 – there is still time to submit one or at most 2 good quality pictures for selection during the November meeting (if there are insufficient photos I will take a selection from ‘Members cars’ to make up the numbers).
