The February club night meeting was a busy one with lots happening, we were joined by Peter Rodgers, Chairman of the Lancashire Red Rose region in his capacity of joint-organizer for the Blackpool 100 Jaguar event, Peter explained what would be happening over the 10/11th September weekend of the show. We held our regional Annual General meeting, the accounts were presented by Carol Ingram showing we are in a good state of financial health for the previous 12 month period despite the Pandemic. It was proposed rather than vote on individual committee positions we would have a block vote (as all committee members were prepared to continue for the coming year) the new committee are Chairman - Dave Page, Vice Chairman - Brian Pye, Treasurer/Events Organiser – Carol Ingram, Joint events organiser - Dave Page, Secretary/Regional Organiser - Mike Beirne, Membership and GDPR - Sue Page, Web pages - Dave Rockey, and committee members - Keith Ingram and Ray Spurway. Another proposal concerned changes to our “Member of the Year” award points, this was also passed. Many shows are already planned for 2022, not all shows appear in this news roundup but where there is time they should be. The 2021 “Member of the Year” award was presented to winner Dave Lewis. We held the usual raffle fund raiser, thanks to everyone who donated prizes – 15 in total. On 23rd March we had a “Defibrillator Awareness” event organized by Brian Pye at the Hartshill Medical Institute which included a great buffet.
