News from North Staffordshire Region
In the words of Craig Revel-Horwood FAB-U-LOUS this was the opinion of our members at the annual Dinner Dance held for the first time in our new meeting venue, Moorville Hall hotel in Cellarhead. In aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance appeal we had our usual “bumper” raffle, with about 96 prizes all donated by region members, this, along with other donations, raised a total in excess of £1000 for the Air Ambulance appeal. We were also treated to a fine set of guitar music played by Dave Gambling. Thanks to everyone who helped with this event, raffle ticket sellers/folders etc. and especially Vice Chairman Brian Pye for doing a sterling job on the organization front. Next year’s event is already penciled in for 7th January. On 29th January the central club held its AGM, this was a Zoom meeting and details of what went on will no doubt appear in the February magazine. In February we hold our own regional Annual General Meeting, starting at 8.00pm on Wednesday 16th February at the club night, the agenda will be available before the meeting by email and at the meeting on the night, if you need an agenda by post, please let me know. We will also present a trophy to the “Member of the Year winner 2021” at the same meeting. The show/events list is building up nicely now, so time to get your car(s) polished, please join us on club nights for details of what is on and when.
