News from North Staffordshire Region
I would like to wish members of the region a Merry Christmas and prosperous, healthy New Year on behalf of the Staffordshire North region committee, please stay safe at all times and enjoy it! The region 2022 calendar should be available at the region meeting in December, I will let you know nearer the time by email. The Staffordshire North region New Year Dinner-Dance is on Saturday January 8th, starting at 7:30pm - it is a long overdue event!, if you have booked your place we welcome ready wrapped gifts for the Air Ambulance appeal charity raffle please. At our last show of 2021 - a wet and cold Cosford RAF museum, we had 9 cars on display - not bad considering the weather. Dave Lewis won “Classic Car of the day” for his XJS. Event planning is under way for next year so watch this space for news or you can join us on the third Wednesday of the month at the Moorville Hall hotel, Cellarhead at 8:00pm. We also have a Facebook page you can visit for information. During the region’s October meeting Dave Page entertained us with tales of the Isle of Man tour several members joined recently, Pat Crutchley read a poem she had penned about the trip and the “Breakdown of the Year” award was presented to Chairman Dave Page as his Jaguar broke down during the tour imitating a steam train! He was provided with a Jeep by the RAC to continue the tour.
