News from North Staffordshire Region

By now we will know if we can physically hold club meetings, (if not there will be Zoom meetings in their place), if all went well we met up in July for our first face to face meeting for some time, the next club night is at our new venue Moorville Hall on Wednesday 18^th August. *Don’t forget Wednesday from now on* There have been several car shows attended by members of the region one of which was on the Isle of Wight, this coincided with the interment of Alan Vasey’s ashes on 29^th June and those members who were on the IOW drank a cup of tea in memory of Alan (Alan liked his tea!). At our Zoom meeting in July we held a minutes silence for Patrick Sutton who passed away recently. A sum of £400 was raised for the Douglas Macmillan hospice in memory of Patrick at his funeral. Now the shows have restarted this is a good time to take a good photograph of your cars for the region calendar, remember these must be good quality with a smallish amount of space around the car or it gets cropped in the process. You can submit photo’s early so I can try them out. If you don’t have a computer I can scan a picture for you but it needs to be larger than a standard camera ‘snap’. As usual if there are more than 12 pictures submitted we will choose the selection in October or November.
