News from North Staffordshire Region

A well attended meeting for the July club night, even so everyone was able to find a seat. There were 12 raffle prizes, all donated by members and thanks to them it raised £52 towards region funds. The ‘Car of the Month’ chosen from the many on the car park in July was a beautiful XKR belonging to Phil Cheetham. We welcomed new to the region member David Woodcock making a total of six David’s at the meeting. Early I know but our Christmas meal is not that far away! Menu’s are available soon, if you are unable to attend a meeting but require tickets contact me to book places. I have already received some photos for the region calendar, if you have taken a good one this summer you would like to see in the calendar please send it before the end of October to me, please make sure it is good quality and at least 1Mb (only send a maximum of two please), if there are more than 12 entries we will choose the most popular ones at our November meeting. There will be an event at the Hartshill Medical Centre in Hartshill, Stoke-on-Trent in October, it’s topic is the ‘smart motorway system’, there will be a buffet at this event so you will need to book a ticket to it. Yet to be confirmed is a talk at one of our clubnight meetings about the life of Norman Dewis organized by Patrick Sutton.
