News from North Staffordshire Region

At the April club night meeting (another packed, almost standing room only event) there were 11 prizes in the region raffle all donated by members, so many thanks go to them. I will be reporting on our popular ‘Car of the Month’ May competition in the next write-up, for this event members choose what they think is the best car on the car park and a certificate is issued to the winner. This competition is held for the next five months at club nights, but any car can only win once in the year. We have attended several events so far and there are many to come over the next weeks, two of particular interest are Trentham Gardens on Father’s Day (Sunday 16^th June) which is our largest show club stand and our own Jaguar show at the Bleeding Wolf in Scholar Green on Sunday 2nd June. At our event on the Bleeding Wolf car park we will feature in a radio broadcast as I am told one of our members, Bob Lythgoe, owns it! The radio station is called Peak FM and is broadcast on 107FM, listen in or better still come down to the ‘Wolf’ and join in on the day, prizes are awarded to the best Jaguar/Daimlers. There will be a large range of interesting vehicles at both events. It is probably too late to book for Trentham as the organizer closes entries around three weeks prior to this popular event.
