News from North Staffordshire Region

I would like to wish all members of the region a Merry Christmas and prosperous, healthy New Year on behalf of the regions committee. In October 13 members went to the JLR Engine Manufacturing Centre (EMC) at Wolverhampton followed by lunch in the Spread Eagle at Gailey, thank you to Brian Pye for arranging the trip. A party of members attended an interesting presentation by the Institute of Advanced Motorists at the Medical Centre in Hartshill, thanks to Dave Hammersley for organizing this. Carol Ingram gave a report about the last few shows we attended in 2017 and all agreed we had a great year of events. If anyone knows of events of interest for next year could they please let us know and we will consider adding them in. Several members attended the Club AGM in November, and our nomination for the ‘Spirit of the Club’ award this year was Brian Pye. The region 2018 calendar will be available in December, if you would like one please let me know as soon as possible. I am sure the North Staffs Region Christmas Dinner-Dance early in January 2018 will be a great evening and raise much needed funds which, along with the proceeds from the evening raffle go to the Air Ambulance appeal. Join us on the third Tuesday of the month in the Bleeding Wolf, Scholar Green at 8:00 to get the latest up to date information, Cheers Mike Beirne
