News from North Staffordshire Region

Another well attended meeting in September at the Bleeding Wolf in Scholar Green with all raffle prizes donated by members, this raised £39 towards region funds. Well done to the prize winners (including me for a change!) and thanks to Hazel Sutton for selling the tickets. Our annual Christmas Dinner/Dance at the North Stafford Hotel in Stoke – directly opposite the rail station is taking place on Saturday 6^th January 2018 7:00 for 7:30pm, further details appear on the regions website (if you do not have computer access come to the club or give me a ring), you need to apply to Brian Pye as soon as possible for places. At the Dinner/dance we have a raffle, the proceeds of which are donated to the Air Ambulance appeal so bring any gifts ready wrapped. Discounted rooms are available if you would like to stay overnight. We will have a regional calendar for 2018 hopefully costing around £8, there is still time to submit a good quality picture (at least 1Mb) of your ‘motor’ for selection during the November meeting if there are more than 12 submitted, I can scan any hard copy photos if required. Our nomination for the club’s ‘Spirit of the club’ award this year is Chairman Brian Pye, the winner is announced at the club’s AGM in November.
