News from North Sraffordshire Region
Here we are in March already! Our events list is progressing well so if you would like to join us at one of the shows let us know or come to the region meeting on Wednesday 16th March at Moorville Hall, where we should be joined by our newly appointed Region Ambassador – Keith Hurlock. Taking a step back to the January meeting we had a lower than normal attendance due to the Covid situation with several members ‘self-isolating’ – including myself! The meeting was ably run by Chairman Dave Page who reported to the members about the region Dinner/Dance which raised over £1000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity, 60 members and friends enjoyed the event – a great meal, huge raffle and guitar solo from Dave Gambling. Dave Page thanked everyone who helped with the event – Brian Pye, Carol Ingram, the raffle ticket sellers and ticket folders to mention but a few. Attendees who stayed there said how much they enjoyed the hotel too so we have already booked the venue for next year’s meal and dance! Dave and Sue Page along with Dave and Sue Lewis completed an interesting road trip in Wales last year and will email the details to everyone, the plan is to follow up with a repeat trip this year, anyone interested in going should let us know. I will report the outcome of our regional AGM held in February in next month’s magazine.
