Unfortunately, our current Chairman Peter Powderham has decided to resign from the ESJEC. This is due to his own work commitments and his travel plans for the forthcoming year which will mean he is out of the UK for a lot of the time. The ESJEC Committee thank Peter for all his help and commitments to the ESJEC over the past year. Steve Snook has agreed to step into the breach. He has been a JEC member since 2012 and with several years on the East Sussex JEC Committee. He owns two lovely Jaguars: a XK8 Convertible and a X-Type Estate. JAGUAR XK8 CONVERTIBLE. This one is a 2001 face lift model with: 4.0 litre V8 32 Valve AJ-V8 Petrol Engine; ‘5 Speed ‘J Gate’ Automatic Transmission; Anthracite Black Paintwork; Ivory Leather Interior; Impeller Wheels. 0 to 60 very quickly! JAGUAR X-TYPE ESTATE. The only Estate model that Jaguar has made to date! This one is a late 2008 face lift model, just before X400 production ended in 2009. ‘Top of the Range’ Sovereign Specification: 3.0 litre V6 Petrol Engine; 5 Speed ‘J Gate’ Automatic Transmission; All Wheel Drive; Ultimate Black Paintwork; Ivory Leather with Oyster Piping; and Tilt / Slide Sunroof. Jaguar only made 4,382 of this particular model and very few of these had sunroofs, so it is now fairly rare and appreciating in value. Steve is a retired electronics engineer, lives in North Hailsham and is currently completely refurbishing a Triumph Vitesse MkII Convertible.
