JEC South Lincs. Murder Mystery Weekend - July 2016
Thank you Phill for organising a great weekend away in deepest LIncolnshire.
I think Amanda has summed it up well in this little poem.......
About
sixty would-be Sleuths
All sat down for Dinner
We were challenged to solve a Murder
And one of us would be the Winner.
-
We were guests in a parallel universe
At a UFO Spotters Club
It was early on in the proceedings
That Mr. Norton wished he’d found a Pub
-
This was actually a very serious matter
People’s lives could be at stake
Jenny combed through all the evidence
Hoping to be first to get a break.
-
Jane was searching for Blackmail or, Revenge
Crimes of Passion, Love or, Lust
We needed Motives for the Killings
Unsure just who we could trust.
-
The suspects could all be lying
The atmosphere was Tense
Dor had lost the will to live
None of it was making any sense.
-
The UFO Enthusiasts
Had found an Alien Craft had stranded
We would have been a Great Deal more excited
If an XJS had landed.
-
Of course we were now all Witnesses
To these Bloody Heinous Crimes
Told not to leave the Hotel grounds
These were very difficult times.
-
Murder and Intrigue raged around us
Whilst we searched desperately for Clues
Wendy endured two sleepless nights
Waiting for some news.
-
Phil and Sue watched with baited breath
For all the Facts to be digested
The Police would make an Announcement
And the Culprit would be Arrested.
-
Amidst the Fiercest Competition
Jean finally discovered the whole Truth
The Jag Club were Victorious
And won the Title “ Super Sleuth “.
-
Everyone was sworn to secrecy
Due to the sensitive nature of the Crime
The UFO Spotters Club had had their Day
Now the last word would be Mine.
-
We all survived this Close Encounter
With Fools, Murder and Strife
When you think you can’t take any more
Always Look on “ The Bright Side of Life “……..!!!!
