Fourteen members attended on a very sunny Sunday afternoon for our scenic drive organised by our committee members Paul and Neill.
Roofs down, we headed towards Newcastle passing through Seaford, Clough and Dundrum with the magnificent Mourne Mountains in the distance silhouetted by the sun. We then headed towards Hilltown, aptly named by its steep incline and then took the scenic route towards Rostrevor driving through the majestic peaks of the Mournes.
We headed through the seaside town of Warrenpoint, rounded the top of Carlingford Lough and crossed the border into Omeath heading along the beautiful shores of Carlingford Lough where we passed through the bustling historic town of Carlingford and onto our final destination of Fitzpatrick Bar and Restaurant for our enjoyable evening meal.
All and all a great afternoon out made even better by the sunshine
