JEC South Lincs. - Monk Fryston Weekend Away Sept. 2017

We arrived Friday afternoon and that evening we held a surprise birthday party for Doreen at what was to become our new favourite local pub.

On Saturday we battled with Leeds traffic to visit the Thackray Medical Museum, where we learned about its history as a workhouse and a hospital.

Come Sunday we visited a National Trust gem, Fountains Abbey. It is the largest monastic ruin in the country and lies hidden in a beautiful valley. A truly stunning setting for us to explore. To top it all on Sunday evening a certain club member was treated to an extra special creme brulee!
