Five determined club members chose to ignore the gloomy weather forecast and put on a brave display of cars from our club. This consisted of fourJaguars and one interloper, Gary's BMW.
More club members joined us for lunch at the "No.1 Kitchen" Stamford, which provided a great venue from which to watch the worsening weather conditions sweep across the meadows.
We eventually emerged from their "Old Cellar" to return to our rather soggy cars only to discover that Tony and Judy Batten's white e-type had won the "Best Sports Car" trophy, and that Paul and Wendy Quemby had won "Best in Show" with their XK150; thus proving conclusively that every cloud has a silver lining.
This is the second time our club has come away from this car show with two trophies.
Thank you Stamford and District Round Table for recognising quality when you see it.
