JEC South Lincs. - Presentation to the Lincs. & Notts. Air Ambulance.
At our October club meeting it was our pleasure to welcome Sandi MacMillan from the Lincs. & Notts. Air Ambulance charity. We heard about its formation in 1991, and the day to day running of this valuable service.
Based at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, the Lincs. & Notts. Air Ambulance service has flown over 18,000 missions since its formation, and recently took ownership of a brand new, state of the art Augusta Westland AW169 Ambucopter, which is bigger, faster and better than its long serving predecessor.
From their base they are able to get to all corners of the region within just 30 minutes meaning that those who are injured have a much greater chance of help and survival.
Jon Norton (chairman) was able to show the club's gratitude to the charity by presenting them with a cheque for £500.
