The JEC was formed in December 1984 by a 10 strong committee, some of the names you will no doubt recognise, such as Graham Searle, Ken Jenkins and a young Nigel Thornley.
It was May two years later when the South Lincs region first appeared in the JEC magazine announcing the holding of their first club meeting at the Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa. Back in 1986 the national membership stood at nearly 3000 enthusiasts and just 28 recognised regions. The JEC has now grown to more than 90 national and international regions all with an interest in Jaguars and Daimlers, and similarly the South Lincs region has developed into an active club where you can meet like minded people who enjoy meeting monthly, days out, meals and much more. I've attached a copy of the JEC pages showing our beginnings.
