JEC South Lincs. - June 2020 drive out and picnic.
Early June saw twenty-nine members follow a meandering tulip route from Belton to Anton’s Gowt. Clearly out of practice at listening to their navigators’ advice, three drivers immediately overshot either the first or second junction, although Phill claimed later that he was just checking the calibration of his mileometer. Amazingly, however, no-one got lost during the next 45 miles. Everyone enjoyed the varied scenery, from rolling countryside over to the fens, but Chris discovered that his E-Type didn’t appreciate some of the uneven, crowned, fenland roads.
Afterwards, Neal and Davina kindly hosted our socially-distanced picnic. Our pleasure in meeting together for the first time in fifteen months was enhanced by glorious weather and the lovely waterside setting. Thanks you Neal and Davina for your organisational skill and hospitality.
