We all met up at Farndon marina on a cold, overcast June (summer's) day, hoping that it would warm up and remain rain free.
The boats were beautifully turned out, and both looked majestic on the river.
Club members had the choice of a modern "Sealine" cruiser (gin palace) or a recently renovated narrow boat with a very impressive paint job (& Pimm's on tap). A fascinating contrast making the decision difficult.
We stopped at "The Bromley at Fiskerton" for a warming cup of coffee and to exchange experiences.
Crews then swapped vessels for the return leg, back to the marina.
Lunch at "The Farndon Ferry" was waiting.
Everybody appreciated the hot food which was served up with great efficiency.
A big thank you to Neal, Davina, Russ and Carol for their generosity in organising a great day out on the river.
