JEC South Lincs. 2017 Christmas Party at Woody's, Woodland Waters
The South Lincs. region of the JEC celebrated their last meeting of the year with a Xmas party at Woodland Waters, Ancaster.
Thirty seven club members attended the event where we were treated to some excellent traditional Christmas fare by Stuart and his hard working team.
A great time was had by all, although some did take exception to Jon's musical tie & decided to take decisive action, separating the musical end from its power source.
At the end of the evening some gifts that had been kindly donated to the club by local businesses were auctioned by our Chairman. The process was however besmirched by some rather sharp auctioneering practice, but nevertheless all lots did eventually meet their reserve price, raising valuable funds for the club.
The finale to our regular monthly "Good News / Bad News" raffle was a "Good News Only" prize draw. The lucky winner was Neil Jervis, who received a rather fine bottle of champagne to help his Christmas festivities go with a bang. Over the year this raffle has raised over £250 for the club. A big thank you to Amanda for making even the "Bad News" seem fun.
It was unfortunate that due to excessive partying, and as predicted, the fairy did eventually fall off the Christmas tree (see photo number 6).
