A beautiful day in glorious sunshine led us into a sense of false security and we weren't quite expecting the downpours that began at 8.00 pm. But, in true Somerset fashion we didn't let a spot of rain dampen the party and 80 members and their family and friends enjoyed a fantastic hog roast at Acacia Farm (aka Swallows) for our annual summer party. Back by popular demand, band "Rust" entertained us well giving us a trip down memory lane with classics such as Black Magic Woman, Knocking on Heavens Door etc and some brave soles even took to dancing in the rain! As usual the star of the show was the "Hog" supplied by Pynes of Somerset - a veritable feast - and of course, fantastic company for a wonderful social evening despite the weather . It was also wonderful to welcome some new members to their first event with us.
Thanks again to Swallows for hosting and to all the volunteers who helped set up, take down and contributed puds
