New Year breakfast meet at Haynes International Motor Museum followed by a drive out to the Jurassic Coast
A fantastic turnout for our first ever event at the Haynes Motor Museum Breakfast meet on 6th January 2019. Around 800 cars in total were lined up and squeezed in to every corner of the museum site, we counted around 20 Jaguars from E types to Daimlers. 9 Members from our Somerset region met up for breakfast and a chat, a great full English and bacon baps - although the baps did run out for a short time (sorry Tony). At 10.30am I was able to get our "Run Out " announced over the tanoy as it was so busy and difficult to round everyone up. After saying goodbye to those not going on the run we had 6 cars in our line up; a MK2, XJ40, 2 x XK8s an XK and an XJ6. We had a fantastic meandering trip through great Somerset and Dorset countryside to the Anchor Inn at Seatown where we met up with 2 more members for lunch and a few of us had stroll on the beach and an interesting discussion on pebbles!
