JEC KENT REGION EVENTS FOR 2024

CLUB NIGHTS ARE ALWAYS THE 4th WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH (except no meeting in December)

■ Hayes Fair, 9th June—Eight cars booked so far. Contact John Suttie

■ Simply Jaguar, Beaulieu, 23rd June—as this is too close to our Kent Region Long Weekend Away, members are advised to book individually if they want to attend.

■ Kent Region Long Weekend Away, 24-28th June—fully booked, but Peter & Jane Sayles have a waiting list. (NB Club night is still on the 26th.)

■ Warlingham CLASSIC CAR SHOW, 14th July. 15 cars booked currently, space for 5 more. SEE MAIN ADVERT contact Colin Hegner.

■ Parham (W Sussex JEC event), 4th August— Contact Nick Lynch

■ Cranleigh Lions, 11th August—flyer issued, five cars booked to date. Once again booking is via Eventbrite with a cut-off date for our JEC Kent stand at the end of June, six weeks prior to the show. Must let Tony Slinn know if you have booked direct to avoid confusion.

■ Classics at Penshurst, 18th August— A JEC Kent stand is bookable and tickets are only £5 for car, driver and one passenger. Flyer issued. Further details from Tony Slinn

■ BBQ Club night, 28th August—free to JEC Kent members and spouses. Guests are £13 per person . SEE MAIN ADVERT - Same organisation as back in 2023, £5 in advance with no-shows on the day forfeiting that amount unless Colin is told well in advance they won’t be attending the BBQ. Flyer now issued, further details see events or contact Colin Hegner

■ Kent Day, Lullingstone Castle, 1st September—27 cars booked now. Cost of £10 includes car, driver and one passenger with entry to the house, grounds and World Garden included. Further details contact John Suttie

■ Isle of Wight Classic Motor Show, 7-8th September. Tony Slinn & Colin Hegner have booked. but more are welcome, show is on Saturday and Sunday at different locations. Special deals are available for a long weekend trip including ferry at Warners Hotel, or contact Colin for further details

■ Kent’s Classic Car Show, 8th September—flyer to be issued, though it does clash with IOW & only 4 cars last year. 1 car currently booked as far as we are aware.

■ Treasure Hunt, 29th September—date now confirmed, flyer to be issued.

■ JEC Kent Christmas Ball at Biggin Hill, held at Geoff & Lesley’s Christmas Event, 14th December— Flyer to follow


Christmas meal in December - details to be announced


OUR AGM WITH FREE BUFFET will now take place on January Club night instead of in the previous slot of the November meeting. This is to enable the accounts to be ready prior to the meeting, and due to holiday absentees from several committee members at this time of the Year. Flyer for this event will be circulated nearer the time.
