JEC Devon Committee Changes

It is with great regret that we have to inform you that due to a recent health issue our current Chair Geoff McCleland has had to take the hard decision to stand down from his role.

Geoff took on the role after previously holding the Vice Chair's role back in November of last ye

During his short time as Chair Geoff continued to drive the region forward, and was instrumental in the creation of this year's event and social calendar, alongside also starting to plan for another Great West Jaguar and Classic Car Day, which this year will be returning to Escot House.

Having received Geoff's resignation from his post, the committee held a special meeting to discuss the next steps forward. At this meeting it was proposed that the role of Chair should be offered back to Geoff's predecessor Patch Jobson. After further discussions Patch kindly agreed to take on the role once again.

As the role of Chair is an elected position, the offer was formalised at our social meeting last night, where Patch was nominated by Keith Bassick, and seconded by Jenny Ashton with no objections. Patch will now take the role on until the AGM in November when he will again step down for someone new to take on the role.

The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff for everything he has done during his time on the Committee, as both Vice Chair and Chair, and we hope you will join us in sending our thoughts to him during his recovery. Both Patch and Geoff will have greater updates in the next edition of The Devon Cat, however in the meantime to contact Patch with any questions please click on this link.
