On 16th July members of the newly formed Cornwall Region of the JEC and the Tamar region joined together to exhibit at Wadebridge Wheels, it was great to have the opportunity for the two regions to get together. After meeting in the car park of a well known supermarket we drove in convoy to the show. With over 1000 show entries access was slow and we eventually arrived in our allocated space in zone 3 in a very heavy rain shower. Brian Jones the chairman of the Tamar Region had a small marquee which we managed to erect between the showers and with the JEC Tamar Region sign displayed we greeted members old and new.
We had several interested show attendees visit our display area who were happy to provide their details for us to supply information as we move forward to establish the new Cornwall Region. The showers in the afternoon became spasmodic but in typical British tradition we braved the weather and everybody enjoyed the day.
